Transferring a Licence to a New Mobile Device


To move a licence to another mobile device, follow the steps below.


Old Mobile Device


1. Make sure you send any data collected on your mobile by using the CLOUD > SEND option.


2. Make sure that you have received any data to your PS Data Manager software that is expected from your old mobile device, as it will NOT be available after the licence transfer.


3. Then choose LICENCE > REVOKE LICENCE so we know which device to de-register. We can then register your replacement device.


Once you have done that proceed with the steps below.


New Mobile Device


1. Use the SETTINGS option to fill in your name, email, phone and organisation details, similar to your old device.


2. Then use the LICENCE option and tap REQUEST LICENCE.

 

3. The process is NOT immediate, so please wait till we have processed your request before you try to receive your licence. If you try to receive a licence too early you will get a warning message.


4. Wait until your new licence is available.


5. Use the LICENCE and then choose DOWNLOAD LICENCE to activate your mobile device.


6. Remember you will need to also get the user of the desktop software to send you the survey templates that you want to use.


Notes:


a. On newer versions of PS Mobile, licences are download automatically once they are ready.


b. The organisation name must be the main company you are working for. Any contractors should NOT use their own company name.


c. For each different device, the user name should be a unique name across your organisation, otherwise, you will not know exactly who you are sending to or receiving from.


d. For each different device, you can use names like 'User 01' as long as they are unique across all your devices.
