PocketSurvey uses extensive backups and archives on the Cloud, Desktop and Mobile device, so the data should be somewhere on the system.

To recover/receive any data that does not appear to be in the PS Data Manager, follow the steps below.

Step 1. Get the mobile user to CLOUD (TRANSFER) > SEND until they get a positive message that the data is sent. Bear in mind that photographs are sent first, so there can be situations where there is data still remaining on the mobile device.

Step 2. Try receiving again from the desktop PS Data Manager via the CLOUD > RECEIVE FILES option.

Step 3. If the data still does not appear, use the following menu option in PS Data Manager to search for your Record ID... DATA > DATABASE OPERATIONS > RECOVER CLOUD DATA.

Step 4. If for some reason you still cannot recover this data, get the mobile user to un-archive the required surveys on their mobile device follow the instructions in the Restoring Archived Data On Your Mobile Device knowledge base article.

Note: If the survey record isn't in the archives then the surveyor may have surveyed it under a different ID, or it could have been collected by a different surveyor!

Step 5. After getting the mobile user to unarchive the required records, try receiving again from the desktop PS Data Manager via the CLOUD > RECEIVE FILES button.

Step 6. If the problem is not resolved please contact us, and we can log on to your machine and check the backups and archives for you.
