You don't necessarily need an extremely high-resolution camera for the reports produced by PocketSurvey, in fact for PDF reports 1.2 to 4 megapixels is often good enough.

What is more important is often the quality of the camera and the lens! Huawei and Samsung generally have good cameras.

One important thing to remember with PocketSurvey is that we have a setting in the app that allows you to increase the pixel size of the pictures taken within PocketSurvey.

Changing The Camera Resolution

By default this setting may be at a low pixel count, so check the setting below on your mobile device.

  • SETTINGS > CAMERA RESOLUTION

Note: When you choose the resolution in the settings section of pocketsurvey it is important to use a 4 x 3 ratio rather than 16 x 9.

However, If you really want to use 16 x 9, there is a setting in the desktop report database we would need to set for you.
